Opened by Ms. Vy in 2006, the restaurant aims to serve Vietnamese street food in a clean space that's easy for tourists to step into. ④ Quán Cao Lầu Thanh
A restaurant that serves only cao lau, with no printed menu (travel booking site Traveloka). As of 2018, the owner, Ms. Thanh, had been running the restaurant "at this spot for 20 years." The char siu is marinated in a house sauce, the noodles come from a local noodle maker that uses water from the Ba Le well, and the herbs come from Tra Que village (Foody, July 2018).

Banh mi costs about 20,000–35,000 dong (hellodanang, March 2026). A line forms out onto the sidewalk in front, and waits of 20-30 minutes are common at lunch (11:30–13:30) and in the evening (goodmorning-hoian, December 2025; hellodanang). In September 2023, a food poisoning outbreak at this restaurant sickened 313 people, and the province fined the restaurant and suspended its operations for three months (Tuổi Trẻ, October 2023). It reopened in January 2024 (Tuổi Trẻ, January 2024).
