🔴 A day trip means "two spots, max"
Travel alone eats up three hours round trip, and the Trang An boat ride alone takes 2.5-3.5 hours. In other words,"Trang An + Mua Cave" or "Trang An + Bai Dinh Pagoda" is the realistic limit for what a day trip can cover.
Doing both Tam Coc and Trang An in one day isn't realistic. Both boat rides take 2-3 hours. If you want to take in the scenery properly, staying overnight is strongly recommended.
Getting around locally — you can't do it on foot
