Da Lat's double-life café "YAM – ChiangMai"—a café by day, a Thai restaurant by night

At the highland resort of Da Lat, there's a unique shop that changes its face by day and night. "YAM – ChiangMai in DaLat" is a shop of, so to speak, "double cropping" — a laid-back café by day that transforms into an authentic Thai restaurant from 5 p.m. It recreates, in miniature, the air of Chiang Mai in northern Thailand right in the heart of Da Lat.

Café by day, Chiang Mai cuisine by night

Café time is from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. In a spacious space, elaborate down to the garden and interior, you can enjoy coffee and various drinks. In the evening it's wrapped in warm-colored light, switching to a restaurant lined with fragrant Thai dishes such as pad thai, fried rice, and Thai hot pot. Lunch is from 11:00 to 14:00, and dinner from 16:00 to 22:00.

The address is286 Hai Bà Trưng, Da Lat, Lam Dong province.. The strength unique to this shop is being able to satisfy both "a photogenic café" and "authentic Thai cuisine" in one place.

Savoring Thailand's heat in the cool highlands

In year-round-cool Da Lat, the experience of gathering around steaming Thai cuisine is distinctive. On a chilly highland night, the spicy, sour Chiang Mai flavors stand out. The garden space is carefully crafted too, with an atmosphere that makes you want to linger while taking photos.

Café-hopping and a meal at once

In Da Lat, with its many photogenic cafés, you tend to hop from shop to shop. YAM, where you can finish everything in one place from daytime café time straight through to dinner at night, suits travelers who want to use their limited stay efficiently too.

One shop, twice as nice — a new Da Lat habit

A shop that shows completely different faces by day and night is itself a story to bring home from a trip. Why not add one axis of Thai cuisine to your Da Lat café-hopping?
