ニャチャンの玄関口はCam Ranh International Airport (CXR)。市中心部から南へ約35km離れています。日本からの直行便はないため、ホーチミンかハノイで国内線に乗り継ぐのが基本です。

Nha Trang Beach
市街中心部にそのまま続く約7kmの白砂ビーチで、ホテルやカフェから水着のまま歩いて行ける手軽さが魅力です。遠浅で波が穏やかな日が多く、パラセーリングやジェットスキーといったマリンアクティビティの拠点にもなっています。海岸沿いには遊歩道と公園が整備され、朝は地元の人々の運動や海水浴で賑わいます。日差しが強いため、海遊びは午前中か夕方が快適で、日中はパラソルの下で休むのがコツです。
Vinpearl Land (VinWonders)
A large theme park on offshore Hon Tre Island, a complex where you can play all day, gathering a scream machine, water park, aquarium, indoor game area, and more. Its biggest signature is the over-sea ropeway connecting the city and Hon Tre Island, letting you take in Nha Trang Bay and the islands from the air where the towers stretch out in a row. The ropeway takes just under 10 minutes one way, running from morning to night. Recommended for families and thrill-ride lovers, using a ticket that bundles admission and a round-trip ropeway goes smoothly.
Po Nagar Towers
A complex of brick Hindu temples from the Champa Kingdom era, standing on a small hill overlooking the Cai River. Built between the 8th and 13th centuries, the main tower enshrining the goddess Po Nagar, said to have taught the people farming and weaving, remains, and worship continues inside even now. The highlights are the carvings on the weathered red brick walls and the view of the river and townscape from atop the hill. About 2 km north of the city center, so close, and since it's cool with few people right after the morning opening, the trick is to visit in clothing that covers the shoulders and knees.
Mud baths (such as Thap Ba hot spring)
A bathing facility in northern Nha Trang known for mud baths where you sink your body into mineral-rich mud. Thap Ba hot spring is a pioneering presence that spread mud therapy in this area, and the classic flow is to finish a mud bath by rinsing off in a warm mineral spring, jet bath, or outdoor pool. The reasons for its popularity are the feeling of smooth skin and the atmosphere you can enjoy boisterously with family or a group. Being in the same northern area as the Po Nagar Towers, touring it together in half a day along with the temple visit is efficient.
Long Son Pagoda
An ancient temple in the city of Nha Trang, known for the 24 m white great Buddha enshrined atop a hill. Climb the stone steps continuing from behind the main hall and you come out at the foot of the great Buddha, taking in a panorama of the city including the sea and islands. Reliefs of the monks who gave their lives in protest against the 1963 Buddhist persecution are set around the pedestal, and you feel its weight as a place of faith too. Admission is free, and since you climb the stairs, easy-to-walk-in shoes and clothing that covers the shoulders and knees are recommended.
Seafood market and seafood street
Nha Trang is a town with a fishing port, and at markets and seaside eateries you can pick the shrimp, crab, shellfish, and fish caught that day and have them cooked. Specifying your favorite seafood from the tank and having it made into steamed, grilled, or tamarind-sauce stir-fried dishes is the standard way to enjoy it. The pairing of freshness and value is why it's popular, and it bustles from evening on. Confirming the weight and price before ordering gives peace of mind.
Nha Trang model courses

🔴 ダム市場について知っておきたいこと
ニャチャンの土産といえばダム市場（Chợ Đầm）ですが、ひとつ注意があります。ガイドブックや古い記事で紹介されている「蓮の花の形をした円形の市場棟」は、2021年3月に閉鎖されました。老朽化で崩落の危険があるとされ、商人はすでに隣接する新しい市場棟へ移転しています。
買い物は新市場棟（2016年開業・3階建て、4:00〜16:30）で。写真で見た円形の建物を目当てに行くと、閉鎖されたままの姿を見ることになります。
市場での値段交渉は、提示額の3分の1引きから始めて5割前後で折り合うのが慣習です。定価で買いたい方は、Nha Trang Center（3-5 Phạm Văn Đồng）やVincom Plaza Trần Phú のような商業施設を使うほうが気楽です。

ベストは2〜4月、避けるなら10〜11月
2月から4月が文句なしのベストシーズンです。雨がほとんど降らず（降水日が月4〜5日）、日照時間も長い。海も穏やかで、離島ツアーやダイビングにも最適な時期です。
逆に10〜11月は避けてください。降水量が年間で最も多く、台風の本番期（9月〜12月上旬）とも重なります。この時期は離島ボートの運休が頻発し、ダイビングも透明度が10m未満まで落ちてツアー中止が相次ぎます。ビーチリゾートとしての魅力が半減してしまいます。
なお海水温は通年25.5〜29℃あるので、泳ぐこと自体は一年中可能です。問題は水温ではなく、波と透明度だと考えてください。

注意したいのがバイダイ／カムラン半島です。空港には近いのですが、ニャチャン市街からは25〜30km離れています。リゾート内で完結する滞在なら快適ですが、「街歩きも楽しみたい」という方には不向きです。
