Even as a first edition, about 500,000 people visited over four days, enjoying fruit tastings, hands-on activities, and shopping. Sales reached about 4.5 billion VND, a strong start for an inaugural event.
"Land of sweet fruit": Dong Thap's underlying strength
Dong Thap Province is a major fruit province with more than 134,000 hectares of orchards and annual output topping 2.5 million tons. Each area has its own specialty, from Cao Lanh mangoes to Nhi Hiep durians and Chau Thanh longan. Growing-area codes have been issued for 3,452 sites covering more than 100,000 hectares, reflecting advances in origin management.
