This year's festival highlights span a wide range:

  • Pagett Award: a bakers' competition. The winner is certified as a banh mi artisan representing Vietnam
  • Global branding seminar: strategies for growing Vietnam's banh mi into a global food brand like sushi or tacos will be discussed
  • Photogenic spots: photo spots are plentiful, including a lotus-shaped installation and an Eiffel Tower made of banh mi
  • Vegetarian special section: new proposals of 50 kinds of vegetarian dishes × banh mi
  • Music performances: live performances on stage

Attention to food hygiene

The organizers work closely with the Ho Chi Minh City Food Safety Authority, placing top priority on hygiene management within the venue. They make compliance with hygiene standards mandatory for each booth, creating an environment where visitors can enjoy food-crawling with peace of mind.

A guide for Japanese travelers

Le Van Tam Park sits on the boundary of Districts 1 and 3 of Ho Chi Minh City, within a 10-minute taxi ride from the city center. Late April in Ho Chi Minh City is a hot period just before the rainy season, but it becomes relatively comfortable after evening.

Banh mi was born about 170 years ago in Vietnam during the French colonial era and achieved its own unique evolution by fusing with local ingredients and seasonings. Its appeal is the ease of enjoying it for about 20,000–40,000 VND per piece (about 120–240 yen).Phu Quoc Island visa-exemption informationWhy not plan a Vietnam trip around Golden Week together with this?
