The popular large-scale caf\u00e9 and restaurant complex \u201cNoong Oi – Nha Ben Suoi,\u201d beloved in Thu Duc district, Ho Chi Minh City, resumes operations on April 30, 2026. The venue suffered a large-scale fire on February 22, the sixth day of this year\u2019s Tet (Lunar New Year), losing most of its interior. After about two months of restoration work, it revives at a timing aligned with Vietnam\u2019s Reunification Day (April 30). For the first 10 days from reopening, a campaign of a 10% discount on the bill for all customers is also carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the day the fire broke out, Noong Oi was having a peak business day welcoming about 1,000 customers a day amid Tet-period tourism demand. According to local paper reports, the source of the fire was the drink-preparation area. The interior used large quantities of wooden decorative structures, plastic tables and chairs, and fresh flowers for decoration, which became combustibles that spread the fire quickly, engulfing a wide area in a short time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Noong Oi is located at 283\/2 Linh Dong Street in the Hiep Binh area of Thu Duc district, a large facility divided into multiple areas such as \u201cVuon Dia Dang (Garden of Eden)\u201d and \u201cKhu Vuon Bi Mat (Secret Garden).\u201d With a distinctive spatial design filled with greenery and flowers, it rapidly gained popularity from social media, drawing attention from domestic and foreign tourists as a representative photogenic spot on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Noong Oi\u2019s biggest feature is the concept of recreating, in a southern urban area, the mountain scenery of the Tay Bac (Northwest region) typified by Sapa in northern Vietnam. At the center is a Tay Bac-style stilt wooden house, decorated with ethnic-minority traditional patterns. A mist-spraying system is installed inside, a device that artificially creates the mountain scenery where Sapa\u2019s fog hangs. Photo spots such as wooden bridges, ponds, and swings are dotted about, and a Tay Bac ethnic-costume rental service (100,000 dong per set = about 600 yen) is also offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This restoration reportedly rebuilt the burned decorative structures and also carried out work to replace some of the combustible materials that directly caused the fire with non-combustible ones. The two major areas \u201cVuon Dia Dang\u201d and \u201cKhu Vuon Bi Mat\u201d are said to further expand the scenery while maintaining the concept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
